Terms of Service

1. Service Description

DNSMonit provides DNS monitoring services, including automated DNS health checks, record change detection, security analysis (DNSSEC, SPF, DMARC, CAA), domain expiration alerts, and notifications through various channels.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

3. Plans and Payments

DNSMonit offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (Pro, Agency and MSP), billed monthly or yearly through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are displayed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes. Each plan sets a maximum number of monitored domains and a check frequency, both stated on the pricing page.

4. Automatic Renewal and Cancellation

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price then in effect, until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep the plan until then, and it does not renew. We do not charge a cancellation fee and do not require notice.

5. Free Trial

The Agency plan may be offered with a free trial. No payment method is required to begin one. If no payment method has been added when the trial ends, the subscription is not started and the account returns to the free plan. One trial is available per account.

6. Changing Plans and Paused Domains

You may change plan at any time. Moving to a larger plan takes effect immediately and is charged pro rata. Moving to a smaller plan, or to a shorter billing period, takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

We never delete your domains or their history because of a plan change. If your account holds more domains than your plan allows — after a downgrade, a cancellation, or the end of a trial — the domains beyond that limit stop being checked and are marked as paused. Their records, change history, labels and settings are retained and shown to you. Returning to a plan that covers them resumes monitoring. Deletion only ever happens when you ask for it.

7. Lifetime Licences

The Lifetime plan is no longer sold. Every Lifetime license already purchased is honored in full and indefinitely, on the terms it was sold under, with no subscription and no further payment. Withdrawing the plan from sale does not affect it, and no change to our plans will reduce what a Lifetime license grants.

8. Refunds

If DNSMonit is not what you needed, contact us within 30 days of a payment and we will refund it in full. This applies to subscription payments and to Lifetime purchases alike. Where local consumer law grants you a longer or unconditional right of withdrawal, that right applies and is not limited by this section.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use automated tools to abuse the service beyond normal usage
• Resell or redistribute the service without authorization

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

DNSMonit's liability for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the account settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be notified via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
